I stayed at the Bayside Resort last night on Flat Fish Lake. The proprietor, Lee, is a biker and was born in Annapolis, MD; went to UM, and was married to a women from Bethesda. He moved here after a career in the DC area and never went back. Lee was quite helpful in giving me guidance for travelling thru Canada. After breakfast, I headed toward Glacier NP. The weather was just great and there were lots of bikers. Met a group of 5 from NC, whimps...they were on a 3 weeks ride. I passed a card out to Grey Fox, if you read this drop my an email. The ride thru Glacier took about 3 hours for the ~45 miles. Lots of stopping and looking at the great scenery. After exiting Glacier I headed for the border. The Canadian Border agent asked for my passport and where I planned on staying. She opens the passport and says "Is this a bribe?" I had stashed a few $100 US in there to keep it separate from my other money, you know not all the eggs in one basket. I said it was just spare money and all was cool when I handed her one of my travel cards. We talked about my adventure until another vehicle pulled behind me. If the young lady, border guard reads this, please send me an email to share your thoughts of the wild rider from Washington, DC. I made it to the Waterton National Forest, but they had no campsites left, I travelled alittle further and found a very nice spot. After chatting with the check in official about my ride, I was given a special deal. I got a 100 ft extension cord with no deposit, while another camper was having to shell out $30 to get a cord. I tell you, sharing the ride and enthusiasm has really paid off, many times over. Well it is time for rest...Goodnight!
