Ted's Big Ride 2009---Day Six

Red Lodge, MT to Yellowstone NP, WY

The ride over Beartooth Pass was curvy with many, many switchbacks. It was WAY COLD even crossing at noon. I cannot imagine how I would have liked this trip last night in the waning hours of the day. Besides, I would have had to ride more hours than I would have wanted to find a place to stay. The scenery is just awesome beautiful, the camera simply cannot convey the grand scale of it all.

Crossing over Beartooth Pass at 10,947 ft
Riding time: 7 hours 6 minutes

Actual distance:
    Today = 209 miles,
    Total   = 2,576 miles
Average Miles/Gallon: 41.0
Average Price/Gallon: $3.05 (Premium Grade)
