Ted's Big Perimeter Ride - Day 02

The day started out beautifully. I had a marvelous breakfast with friends Bob & Nancy. Loaded up the bike and got off about 10AM. Not much adventure heading East from Lancaster. I adjusted my route as the gps was going to take me to the NJ Thruway. So I headed North on I276, which unfortunately took me quite far West while going North. Any way, I found I80 East and over the Tappan Zee Bridge. The current bridge is in the process of being replaced. The immense construction project to build a new 4-1/2 mile span next to the existing bridge is remarkable.

As I entered New York State, with much traffic, the skies opened up and it rained for quite some time. I finally reached my planned campground and upgraded to a cabin as the weather was still threatening. Took off and had a nice pizza at the famous Mystic Pizza. Got back to the cabin, started a campfire, and relaxed a short while before turning in. Overall, not a great day, but not a bad day either.
