Ted's Big Ride---Day Twenty-Six

Walnut Creek, CA to Toiyabe National Forest (Leavitt Meadows Campground), CA.
May 25, 2006

My planned start for the "Ride East" scheduled for yesterday had to be delayed because I was feeling SOOOO Bad. I spend the entire 24 hours of Wednesday sleeping, and I could not eat a thing. Fortunately, I rallied this morning and Started the Adventure East today. I cannot ride THROUGH Yosemite because the Tioga Pass is still snow blocked. I did in fact ride to the valley anyway and had a latte at the Ahwahnee Lodge...very nice. I then had to backtrack a couple of hours to get to the Sonora Pass which was open. And lots of snow on top too!
Plan distance: 329 miles
Plan time at posted speed limit: 9 hours 35 minutes

Actual distance:  Today=348 miles    Total=4,808 miles
